Last Updated: 12/August/2018
Version: 1.0.2
Size: 413MB

Revision History:

Version 1.0.2 - 12/August/2018

- Updated driver line-up.
- Removed pit-crew.

Version 1.0.1 - 16/April/2018

- Updated non-DXT5 textures to DXT5.
- Removed FiHS files.
- Added rF2 lobby team icons.
- Updated Medium tire textures in an attempt to reduce glow effect.
- Removed unused textures.

Version 1.0.0 - 15/March/2018

- Added custom skins for official SRHF1 drivers.
- Adjusted brake wear and cooling.
- Adjusted brake and radiator duct drag.

Version 0.9.9 - 6/March/2018:

- New steering wheel LCD screens with RPM lights.
- Adjusted T-Cam view.
- Adjusted brake cooling. Brakes fail at 2.3cm +/- 0.03cm.
- Fixed shiny brakes texture.
- Changed sounds.
- Added upgrade option to select engine sound.

Version 0.9.0 - 21/February/2018:

- Reverted back engine curve to 13K RPM.
- Implemented "Torque Map", formerly known as "Engine Mixture". This allows the driver to have up to three engine torque settings (low, medium, high) by means of adjusting the fuel mixture coming into the engine. This setting affects mostly the handling of the car during corner exits and has a slight effect on fuel consumption.
- Implemented "MGU-H Boost", formerly known as "MGU-H". This allows the driver to have up to three boost settings (low, medium, high) by means of adjusting the turbo boost pressure. This slightly affects top speed, lap times, and fuel consumption.
- Engine life adjusted to 10,000 seconds +/- 1,000.
- Gearbox ratios reverted back to version 0.8.0.

Version 0.8.6 - 10/February/2018:

- Reduced fuel consumption from 3.69e-5 to 2.60e-5 (same level as in 2017)
- Temporarily disabled engine mixture settings
- Increased base engine life
- Renamed MGU-K to MGU-H to properly represent turbo boost effects
- MGU-H now has 3 settings; LOW (1), NORMAL (2), HIGH (3). MGU-H has no effects in fuel consumption, only in turbo boost and engine wear.
- LOW (1): Lowest turbo boost setting with no additional engine wear but lower engine power
- NORMAL (2): Ideal setting for an entire race with 5% more engine wear but higher engine power
- HIGH (3): Highest turbo boost setting with 10% more engine wear than LOW (1)

Version 0.8.5 - 5/February/2018:

- Decreased fuel range
- Radiator duct now has more adjustment granularity
- Adjusted engine curve 2000 rpm higher to match F1's 15K rpm limit
- Decreased fuel consumption
- Increased engine rev limit range to 15K rpm
- Reduced engine mixture range to 3 settings (fuel save, normal, overtake/pole/fastest lap)
- Renamed engine boost to "MGU-K" and set it to 3 settings (fuel save, normal, overtake/pole/fastest lap)
- Reduced radiator duct cooling effect
- Increased base MGU-K pressure
- Adjusted gear ratios to accommodate rev limit at 15K rpm

Version 0.8.0 - 17/January/2018:

- Initial clean build.

I just downloaded it. Before I run some laps, how do you think it drives ? Has it fixed any issues we had complaints about ? Are there areas you would like input on that we may need to work on ?

OK, pop quiz over ! I'll do some laps tomorrow.

I like it so far, I don't think the fuel tank is big enough for a full (100%) race however.

Is that a boost/map issue? Do we need to lower boost during race to save fuel?

Did only a couple laps after hooking up the desktop...

The T-cam position seems to be angled down towards the ground more than normal. Not sure if this can be adjusted on my side or if it can be adjusted on league side, but if it were showing a bit more sky, I think it'd be more on par with previous versions.

Looking forward to different engine sounds and something with a lower engine tone than the Ferrari. Not a fan of the Ferrari sound.

Everything is under testing now. Jeff is working hard to get an update in time for round 3 of the Winter Series.

We are aiming to have:

3 settings:
- Saving: This could be used in case you started too light or decided to push at some point in your race.
- Normal: This could be used throughout the entire race if you decide to start with enough fuel and don't want to deal with this setting during the race.
- Overtake/Pole/Fastest Lap: This is of course to push to the max but won't let you finish a race.

Nothing will be drastic in the sense that the slowest and fastest settings would only have about a 5% performance difference compared to normal (more or less).

Yeah that should be an easy fix. I'll also be looking at better steering wheels as well.

2nd time RF2 locked my computer up, didn't even get one lap. This NEVER happened before. FYI. Looks like I won't be running any until a new version, since I can't. Running DX11

Not sure what does that have to do with the latest version of the mod...

When did you install your current rFactor 2 instance?

It never happened before the new version of mod. When did I install? I went back to dx11 at 2nd winter season race. I can't even load my controller now it locks up right after I get in the server. I uninstalled and deleted the old versions of 2018 mod. I'll keep trying stuff.

My best recommendation is to do a clean rFactor 2 install, it has to be something corrupted on your end. Adam Freitas has driven 179 laps with the Haas #8 I assume with no issues.

Just validated my files and something was wrong, but still froze up before a few turns.
