Question 13 - Do you have any general comments on the 2022 car?

I think the car started quite well, but a bit too quick compared with real F1. Then we attempted to slow it down and it just created an "exploit" with the aerodynamics. After that, I did not like the feeling of it. The car felt like it was carrying a parachute behind it.

Question 14 - Do you have any general comments about the league?

I think we need to do more to improve the grid quality. We saw it this year when a good number of very fast drivers did not take part in the season. I suggest we start some sort of driving coaching with potential bonus points in the Ranking being part of it. For example, whoever wants to volunteer to help a struggling driver will start earning bonus ranking points for palpable improvements in the performance of the struggling driver. We could set a table of goals such as "finish within the same lap as the leader", "reach the top 10 in Qualifying", etc. Achieve those and you get bonus points.

Question 15 - List a few things that you liked about the 2022 season

- We are potentially getting a new champion, Otto. (See question 16 below).
- No back-to-back races felt like a relief.
- No drama or fires to put out.
- For a few rounds at the end of the season, I had a real chance to win the championship again, of course, this vanished quickly, thank you Elisee Jean :D.
- Won the Teams Championship at least!

Question 16 - List a few things that you disliked about the 2022 season

- Otto beat me.
- Lots of good drivers dropping out or not participating this year.
- The damn wings on the car, could never figure them out.

Question 17 - What would you like to see changed, improved, or implemented in 2023? Your answer can be about the league, the car, regulations, etc.

As I mentioned in Question 14, I would like to implement a Driver Coaching system for next year.

Question 13 - Do you have any general comments on the 2022 car?

Answer: its a shame the sim has no hybrid tech in it

Question 14 - Do you have any general comments about the league?

Answer: the numbers dropped off abit at the end

Question 15 - List a few things that you liked about the 2022 season

Answer: 2/3 of the way through i started vr

Question 16 - List a few things that you disliked about the 2022 season

Answer: i didnt like the race to low areo , too much impact from adding some down force to the car

Question 17 - What would you like to see changed, improved, or implemented in 2023? Your answer can be about the league as a whole, the car, regulations, etc.

Answer i am ok with paid content , without a true hybrid i woud be ok with the fpro , otherwise a mod should seek to limit the areo impact or simply add less option to the wing - maybe only 3 settings - low med high

Question 13 - Do you have any general comments on the 2022 car?

Answer:
-We made too many changes throughout the season
- The car was way too draggie which means there was a lot of lap time to be gained by using a small rear wing.

Question 14 - Do you have any general comments about the league?

Answer:
- Too many good drivers dropped out either during the season or before the season.
- Some of our current drivers didn't seem to improve in certain areas as you would expect. Lapping slower cars still seems to be an issue, and it seems to be the same offenders more often than not.

Question 15 - List a few things that you liked about the 2022 season

Answer:
- No back-to-back races
- The 1-session qualifying format was a great idea, the earlier start was also great.

Question 16 - List a few things that you disliked about the 2022 season

Answer:
- Mini races, always the mini races. I wish they didn't exist.
- Some aspects of the car were frustrating, aero had too much impact on lap times and brake duct are still impacting lap times more than they should.

Question 17 - What would you like to see changed, improved, or implemented in 2023? Your answer can be about the league as a whole, the car, regulations, etc.

Answer:
- Let's try NOT to use a custom mod and tracks, whenever possible

Question 13 - Do you have any general comments on the 2022 car?

Answer:
- I think we started with good intentions, but there were too many changes throughout the season.
- Perhaps we should start earlier to nail down the final car before the season starts, or go with a proven, available DLC car.

Question 14 - Do you have any general comments about the league?

Answer:
- A fine, feisty group of drivers, the league is run well by Janos and Company.

Question 15 - List a few things that you liked about the 2022 season

Answer:
- An influx of new fast drivers shook things up, I think that was a good thing.
- I liked the shortened qualifying and warmup
- No back to back races was a good thing

Question 16 - List a few things that you disliked about the 2022 season

Answer:
- I would like tougher stewarding/penalties
- Guys that are being lapped racing leaders to the braking zone is not fun
- I never did get my lucky number on the livery of my car

Question 17 - What would you like to see changed, improved, or implemented in 2023? Your answer can be about the league as a whole, the car, regulations, etc.

Answer:
- I would prefer any choice of tire after qualifying, just like the real regulations
- If you want us to run minis that matter, have everyone go with a full fuel tank to simulate a real race start.
- It would be cool if we ran our races AFTER the real races. A lot can be learned from watching the real guys
- Maybe super teams should be split up, making all the top 10 drivers have to choose a team mate from the bottom10. That way, you have to help your
teammate get better, raising all ships. Might make it more fun for the second tier drivers in the process, hopefully with a side effect of driver retention towards the
end of the season

Question 13 - Do you have any general comments on the 2022 car?

Answer: I think there should be more settings for the rear wing or at least a similar number to the front wing.
The tires seemed pretty good, except that the hard tires always seemed to lack too much grip compared to medium and soft.

While I liked the ability to adjust the engine settings, having both mix and boost seemed too much. Having to hold down the temporary boost button on the straightaways all the time was a pain.

The car was too reliable. There was virtually no chance that you could blow the engine or wear out you brakes before the end of the race. At least in 2021, you could gain some places when others had engine or brake failure.

Question 14 - Do you have any general comments about the league?

Answer: Shortening the qualifying was good but then requiring using the same tires to start the race for the top ten may have been too much.

Good racing and good camaraderie within the group.

Question 15 - List a few things that you liked about the 2022 season

Answer: Some good finishing positions in the points, including a top 5 finish.

Question 16 - List a few things that you disliked about the 2022 season

Answer: For myself, never finishing on the lead lap.

Not having a full field every race. The only time we had 20 was at the first race. At least it never fell below 15, but it would be nice if we could have more participants.

There were too few winners and too much spread in performance among the drivers which I think leads to lack of participation.

Too many showing for practice and then leaving before the mini races.

Question 17 - What would you like to see changed, improved, or implemented in 2023? Your answer can be about the league as a whole, the car, regulations, etc.

Answer: I think changing the mini races to races for one lap with full fuel would be a good idea. First race would have grid based on practice session with formation lap. Then the first two would be moved to the back for the 2nd race. Then the next top two moved back, etc. You could easily do 3 to 5 races just to practice starts.

Give 1 to 5 bonus points for each mini race started. Bonus points for Performance Ranking, not championship points. That way people are encouraged to show up but not penalized for not showing. The point is to get as many people participating as possible in order to practice starts.

In order to ensure everyone is starting with full fuel - have 2 mods, 1 with fuel locked to maximum and the other open. The one with fuel locked would be the one required to join the server until the server is password protected on Wednesday and then the fuel would be unlocked by using the other mod after that.

That would also help with preventing people from hot lapping and trying to chase the fastest time on the leader board. Which may result in improved performances in races.

We should start using the paid DLC tracks. They're much better quality, they're not that expensive and it would help support the studio which continues to make improvements to the sim.

The main problem I have with the Formula Pro - it's missing the immersiveness of Formula 1:
- It looks good but visually it's different than the current F1 cars.
- The screen on the steering wheel is cartoonish (maybe they were going for something futuristic).
- It uses Goodyear tires with different colored sidewalls (White for Soft, Yellow for Medium, Green for Hard, Blue for Wet).
- There are only 3 slick compounds and 1 wet compound. So it's missing the 5 compounds with 3 are selected for each race and also the intermediate compound.
- It has Push to Pass (P2P) that, based on my quick testing, appears to be broken.
- The halo is not transparent enough. (But I can fix that with a mod to the mod)

Studio 397 missed a huge opportunity to create a true F1 mod (even if based on best guesstimate data) with a hybrid system like what Reiza did with the Formula Ultimate in AMS2.

This year S397 added a P2P system to the sim for the IndyCar and the BTCC cars. That could be added to the mod to simulate KERS which is the precursor to the current hybrid system that F1 used back around 2009 - 2013.

We could add that to the mod and remove the boost adjustment and just have adjustable fuel mixture along with P2P and DRS.

Add a second division. After thinking about it, it would probably be best to have both divisions run the same car, track, rules and on the same night. That way someone from the lower division can move up immediately if anyone with a regular seat that doesn't show up. That way you could have a full grid for every race and everyone showing up would get a chance to race. Those that are relegated to the lower division may not have many in their race but at least they get to race. And as people don't show up there will be more of a chance to move up. For the 2nd division, keep the stats but don't keep track of points. If you award points for the 2nd division, drivers won't want to move up.
