Incident Report

Indianapolis Grand Prix Race Session
Argenis Riera
Start Time - 3:39
End Time - 4:20
Argenis Riera warps into John Cook, losing his front wing.
Riera doesn't make an effort to stay on the course, leaves the official race track and goes left around the outside of the track, using the highspeed oval section instead of following the race course.

Article 15.2 - Drivers must make every reasonable effort to use the track at all times and may not deliberately leave the track without a justifiable reason.

Drivers will be judged to have left the track if no part of the car remains in contact with it and, for the avoidance of doubt, any white or yellow lines defining the track edges are considered to be part of the track but the curbs are not. Exceptions to track limits may be made on a track-by-track basis and announced by the SRH Management on the Forum.

I have nothing to say about that, it was a rf2 crash and I understand your frustration and i am very sorry fot this, but this things can happen on this game all the time even in official rf2 races, I think its a joke that you are protesting about that when you can see it was not my fault and even then I did not know where i was on the track
I appeared in the oval and I thought I could go back to the track but there was a wall if I went back it was dq so I continued through the oval a dt was better than a dq but the game didn't do it.

I am very sorry, but on my point of view it was an unnecessary protest ;)

Argenis,
It looks like you could have turned right or turned around and followed the track without penalty if you had tried a little harder.
Lack of knowledge of the track layout is not a good defense.

You're a good guy, Argenis, no offense intended, strictly business.
It's all about points.! Any penalty on you could possibly gain me a finishing position, 7th instead of 8th in my case.
It's what any real team principal would do. ;)

I got a blue flag warning on the straight once and moved over. Where did I ignore? I never held anyone up this penalty is a joke and wrecked my race. I think I'm done with it all. Just not fun anymore and lots of wasted time.

Yes you did, you came out of the pits at the end and I was approaching turn 1, you decided to take it at the slow entry speed due to being on pit exit.

Anyways, once again you rage-quit the league. Just let me know if this one is for real and I'll start looking for a replacement....

Is it possible to run blue flag warnings without penalties? Might be an alternative way to handle it...

There is an option to show but never penalize, but do we really want that? All that was changed for this race was to penalize if following from 0.5s to 0.7s and that triggered multiple penalties....

Good Evening!

I was punished twice with drive thru penalty, because of a blue flag, and I'd like to ask for all who overtaken me on blue flag, if I made you lost time.

I always let me overtaken on a best point of the track, on straights and using DRS... In slow speed curves and on difficult points where reduces the speed could be dangerous for both, I try avoid reduces the speed and keep the normal speed, except if I committed a small mistake, that I will create a dangerous situation, in this case, I just stayed out of the track.

4013 <Penalty et="2774.9">Francis Hartstein received Drive Thru penalty, 0s, 0laps for "Ignored Blue Flags". Result: penalties=1, 1st=Drive Thru,0s</Penalty>
4226 <Penalty et="2880.4">Francis Hartstein served 1st Drive Thru penalty, result: penalties=0, 1st=Drive Thru,0s</Penalty>
8248 <Penalty et="4402.4">Francis Hartstein received Drive Thru penalty, 0s, 0laps for "Ignored Blue Flags". Result: penalties=1, 1st=Drive Thru,0s</Penalty>
9039 <Penalty et="4703.1">Francis Hartstein served 1st Drive Thru penalty, result: penalties=0, 1st=Drive Thru,0s</Penalty>

When I see a fasted driver approaching, like and example on this race, I let Argenis Riera overtake me without fight, and I should defend my position, but it would be a nonsense, and I could cause an unnecessary incident, or cause delay for both, or finish the both race, because he would overtake me anyway.

On this bases, I'd like to know how it works, when and how I need to let overtaken me on blue flag to avoid this kind of unfair punishment, if the driver did not lost time.

Thank you and best regards,
