People are not leaving enough room and trying to divebomb into every corner on the first lap.

I agree with Bill that people need to be more careful, leave room. I hit my brakes to avoid hitting Francis Hartstein at turn 5 on lap 1, but then Sam hit me, Bill hit Sam, Mat hit Bill in the style of the circus accordion.

Hello, Please find the appropriate information of the incident that I reported on April 7th.

Session: Simracinghub Round 2 Australian GP Qualifying on April 7th 2022

Name of the accused driver:
Sean Higgins

Start time of the incident as indicated by the official replay time or position:
4 minutes 14 seconds as indicated

End time as indicated by the official replay time or position:
As indicated continued on the in session so there wasn’t an end time as the finish would be entire session.

But if you want to know exactly
6 min 15 seconds was when he went back out for lap 2 and breached article 15.9

Causing a collision is 24.c

Brief description of the complaint
Article presumed to be in breach:

Mentioned “briefly” already but just incase.

Was hit from behind while recovering to the pits off the racing line and ended my session as I lost my rear wing. Sean did lose a front wheel but continued on (as previously mentioned)

Ok we good?

Also please note incident was reported during allowed time frame and had simply been edited for any clarification prior to ruling being completed which is in accordance of regulations.

Nice try trying to get out on a technicality lol I appreciate the hustle. Horrific apology for ruining someone’s night however haha.

Watch from my view man, I literally couldn’t be further off the line. Open to any apology either for the original incident or having me lose 30 minutes of my life writing this insane reply.

Unfortunately, the precedence has been set before with the continuation rule so I feel the actual contact incident is going to be a null point whether we both agree or not.

If you require this to be sent in any other languages please feel free to reach out.

Too late, according to the rules, for your clarification.

After watching some of the race replay, there is something that needs to be said and I hope it helps prevent a similar situation in the future.

Lap 15, the top-3 running in close proximity of each other came up to lap Mr Thomas Shepherd. The first thing Thomas does is to move to the right after the fast left-right chicane on the last sector. This, I assume, makes the leader believes he is being let by, but no, Thomas moved across to the left and makes contact with the leader of the race causing damage to his car.

He then goes all the way to the inside but still going at a good rate of speed, almost contacting the leader of the race again, this time at the apex of the next corner.
He then takes the apex away from the second-place runner which forces him to slow down way more than expected and the 3rd place runner had to take avoiding action not to collide with the car in front, which sends him onto the grass and so are his hopes for a podium.

In 1 single incident Thomas almost took out the entire podium, not cool at all.

Thomas, you have been racing with us for a few years now. This is an inexcusable offense; you can't be this unpredictable out on track while being lapped. There are tools that can help you understanding the situation that you are in, like Crew Chief and the rF2 position line.

Please let's get better at this, we can't be out there oblivious of who and what is around us.

I made slow start losing a spot or 2, made it through T1 T2 ect with no incidents. Had a good battle with Jeff for 1st stint had 1 shot at a pass end of back straight but went abit deep on brakes and Jeff regained position. Jeff pitted few laps later,I went 1 more and came out ahead barely. From there I was able to hold him off and pull a small gap.
Just tried to keep consistent with 1 more stop was feeling good but couldn't hold off Richard and Mat who caught and passed easily. P9 though is a decent result.

Good racing for me,no incidents.

Otto,

Sounds like something that should have been reported so we could at least look at it.
