David the same thing happened to me. If anyone wants to see something crazy ride in Ronnies car at 1:07:13 (lap 35) my car goes airborne like an airplane and flies all the way up to the buildings above track. I do not think either of my front wheels were even touching the curb when it went airborne. I wish I had a picture of my motion rig almost throwing me out of the seat and escape did not stop the madness. If anyone has an explanation I would love to hear it.

What's with your attitude lately man? I haven't had a chance to look at the issue. And by the way, in the past, I've made changes to the mod after your crazy collisions with invisible walls so stop saying things that are not true...

I suspect you Dave and Thomas were running same setup or similar ride height. If somebody can post/share the setup they used, I can run a couple laps and look at Motec data to see exactly.

Cory please watch the video. I do not think setup was the causing factor. The car was stable and planted when it just lifted off as you will see in the video. I was lucky that Ronnie was a short distance behind so you are able to see the incident. However if you want to run the setup give a time and I can meet you on track and share it. But this does not happen often. Maybe once every `100 laps. I am home all weekend so any time you decide on is all right with me. I would enjoy your feedback on my setup. Thanks for your help.

Attached 4 photos, 2 are my race lap 25 from Thursday and 2 are your setup with similar fuel. One of each is an expanded view of whole lap, the others are zoomed in on Eau Rouge. You can see the difference in our ride heights. I raised my car up via springs, packers, and ride height on all sides including 3rd springs/packers. I wanted to ensure I didn't bottom too much in Eau Rouge as I've had a similar exit from race there years ago which I found related to this issue. Plus I raised it enough to make more use of the curbs around the track. With rF2, any time the floor drags for relatively long periods like your left side was, you're at risk for being launched off some texture in the track surface even if its on the pavement and nowhere near a curb. Usually it is curbs but Eau Rouge creates a lot of vertical compression towards the center of Earth. It's okay to have very quick taps into the ground as long as they're not more than 3-4mm below, but it should not be dragging under for any length of time. As you can see yours bottomed to a maximum 11.17mm below sea level and stayed dragging around that range for nearly a full second. I'm quite certain your flight patterns were caused within this issue. ;)

Thanks again for your time. Would it be possible for us to return to track (at your convenence) after you make changes to my setup to give me an idea of just how low my setup was compared to what it should be to remain clear. Thanks again for the education.

Ok I increased packers to 10 28mm front height 58mm rear height. Car still flies off the track. How much ground clearance does this car need to keep from flying. Am I still way off the target. What are some you others running. Still not sure height and stiffness is the reason. I

Here's my settings for what I mentioned earlier...

Front:
Corner springs- 130
Ride height- 24.5mm
Packers- 24.5mm

Front 3rd:
Spring- 200
Packers- 18mm

Rear:
Corner springs- 70
Ride height- 52.5mm
Packers- 25mm

Rear 3rd:
Spring- 340
Packers- 17mm

Your set was a bit loose and if you adjust to these settings, it'll probably feel more loose but maybe not... You might have to adjust other settings to counter that effect. But this should keep your car from flying.

I modified your set to these settings except I left your front corner springs at 140. Car felt more stable actually and ground clearance is good... just a quick little tap to about -5mm in Eau Rouge which is fine, no more dragging. Also your gearbox was one click too short so I went to 12/54 with it.

You shouldn't have to worry about this issue for the remaining races this season.

Thanks again for you help. I would never thought of running packers that tall.
