I noticed there is no rear red flashing light on the cars during heavy spraying. Has anyone seeing this or is it just me? It was impossible to see the car in front.
I would like to hear if others are experiencing the same, because if that is the case then I don't believe it is possible to race in the wet.

Back in my day we didn't have lights, we used testicles.

I did notice flag stations were yellow while it was wet, although this doesn't matter much around here.

Considering that the car's rear lights are not working under the rain, we have switched this race to be with dry weather.

We will investigate the cause of it and schedule another rain race at another track.

Lame.

Rain lights work fine while it's raining. If track is wet but it's not raining, they are turned off.

Why are rain lights working or not working of any significance? Nobody needs a light to signal where a car is when it's right in front of you. If you need to see brake markers or something else, move off line out of the spray and use your eyes like the rest of the world does.

Can someone verify if this was the case last season as well? Cuz if that was it then we are switching the weather back to random for this one...

After further investigation, we are switching the weather back to the original with 30% rain chance.

We discovered that the 2020 car also behaved the same as 2021. Rain lights only trigger when there's rain falling, not when the track is wet.

I won't be able to make this race. Have a ton of plans over the next 2 1/2 weeks that will keep me mostly away from home.

For the purposes of our tire regulations, a race is declared "Wet" if the minimum wetness reaches 20% or above.

To view the wetness % on the rF2 LCD you must be on the page shown in the picture:

http://www.simracinghub.com/images/events/SRHF1/2021/09-Austria/Rain_Hud.jpg

Notice it says "Weather: Rain 0% Track 27-76%"

The number in bold and underscore (27 in the picture above) needs to be 20% or greater for the race to be declared "Wet"

What does it mean when the race is declared "Wet"?

- If it is at the start then you must start the race with a wet weather compound, either intermediates or full-wets.
- You do not need to use more than one dry weather compound during the race if the track dries out afterwards.

Nice to hear that wet weather works. Is this track dependent? I've thought of scheduling a wet race , but I heard there were serious issues last season.
