As long as I create an 11 second gap over 3rd place, I can easily overshoot my brake mark, "lose control", punt leader off track and win the race... Dang this season just got easier! Thanks for the tips on how it's done, McLaren elites! Buahahahahajajaja

Steve Carney:

"i was'nt trying to take anyone out."

Steve,
I know you didn't mean to take us out, just using this situation to set an example. Like Bill said, if you're in a bad wreck, check your cars for wings and tires right away before continuing.

Oops, that's my bad on the race results (points), I left the ones from the Winter Series in there. The standings are fine though.

As a suggestion - if you have the info display up at the start that displays the tire and chassis info you can see when you've lost a front or rear wing or have severe (dark blue) it may help.

Also since when are points down to 12th place?

2 18

Steve Carney

I was almost through the wreckage at the start. I was being patient and careful, when Steve Carney comes across the track to the apex of the next turn. This was an unsafe rejoin on his part, as he was already involved in a wreck on the other side of the track before crossing the track to take out me and Glyn Cooper.

If you had no rear wing, just park it!
15.9 - Drivers that suffer an accident that results in the loss of the rear wing, a wheel, or the engine, will have to abandon the currently running session (Q1, Q2, or race) immediately.

After the glitchy accident my car was pointing straight, i tried to go and the car abruptly veered left due to all the damage.
i was'nt trying to take anyone out.
I thought the 12hr was up so i did'nt check to see if there were protests going on, i accept the penalty.

Turn 1: I honestly thought I made a great pass. I had R. Walcott on my left and we were going into turn 1 clean. There was no more room for another car. But that is when I felt contact to my right rear tire and my car was turn into the grass. I believe simply Riera tried to dive into turn 1 and got his nose clipped and was out of control after that.

And back at you Mat. I want to clear the air as well. Mat I do not think of you as a bad driver. That was harsh. Please forgive. Quite the opposite.

My point here was that calling other peoples incident is a slippery slope and the Otto incident is an example of what will happen when we open that box. I do agree that turn 1 should be fully investigated. I was stoked to get 5th place till I watch the replay then I was bummed. Only a handful of drivers made through safe. The wording of your protest propped my ears up.

Also just want to be clear, I hadn’t even seen turn 1 when I protested it. Just want stewards to take a look at something that cost half the field the race lol.

Not as much there as first looked but still avoidable. Wasn’t protesting carney for hitting me btw that was unavoidable.

Cheers

Went off track so was trying to keep car straight on the grass trying to avoid spinning across track.

Saw a blue dot coming so didn’t rejoin I front of rich (lwasn’t on team chat so didn’t know was him) once saw rich go thought was clear. Blind corner so couldn’t see anyone else.

Glad didn’t affect results atleast it seems

Man lap one, a lot of teams forgot to snap their lego wings on all the way. Never seen so many wings on a track.

I went into turn one 9th...I came out of turn 1 18th (after fixing my damage)

Pretty sure that means I was involved but appreciate the tips and the blackmail attempt lol

Bad luck and Bad driving. I hope things get better for you.

And since we are doing the whole Matt Harto 'I guess I will be the bad guy lol' calling out other peoples incidents that beat me, kinda thing.
