I have no idea why I was placed in the pits at the start of this race. The red pit light was on so my choices were to sit there and burn up or blow the red flag. I chose the red flag.
So I instantly got a stop and go penalty. I went around caught the field and started in last place even though I qualified 11th.. Had a good start and ended up in 10th. However it would not let me clear the stop and go. (My pit board had a not available next to it.) After entering the pits three times to clear the S&G it DQed me. What gives? I had no fouls during quali. I ran out of fuel but never went back out on track and said so in the chat box.

Thomas,
If you don't enter the grid within 30 seconds, you'll be placed in the pits. This is mentioned in the Regulations:
"22.2 - When the final warm-up period expires, the Race Director will move the server to the race session. A 30-second timer will begin the countdown for the cars to line-up on the grid. Drivers that remain in the server and are unable to line-up on the grid before the 30-second timer expires will start the race from the pit lane."

This has always been this way with rF2, but with the new UI there is no countdown timer in the menu. There was a discussion in the Paddock voice channel on Discord and Richard even gave a warning to join at 15 seconds.

If you are in the pits at the start, I believe you can escape back to the menu and then watch the live timing on the event info page of the UI and see where the cars are on their formation lap and then enter the track on pit lane once they've completed the formation lap.

Also, if you run out of fuel during qualifying and are unable to complete an in lap, that could be considered an unfair advantage and should be penalized.

So when the clear the grid was sounded there was less than ten seconds to get to the grid. I did not know that you had to be watching the screen to see when the grid timer started. I have always waited for the announcement and responded to it. I honestly cannot remember any race where the race started 30 seconds after warmup ended but maybe that is one of those self serving false memories.

Once the event switches from warm up to race, there is 30 seconds to get on the grid. I think it's always been like that. I don't know maybe that time can be changed in the options for the dedicated server.

With the new UI, I'm not sure if it plays the announcement we're used to: "Attention grid, will all non essential personnel leave the grid now."

Hi guys, I noticed in the race result for Sepang, my result was: suspension. Want to clarify if I have been suspended from participating in the winter series or if I can compete in the next event? also I would like to understand if and why I have been suspended so I can not make the same mistake(s) again.

Thanks guys!
