Cory Mackey has secured his third victory of the season this team edging Williams' driver Otto Acosta for the win by just 3.9 seconds.
The surprise of the race came in white when Otto Acosta drove the Williams from P10 on the grid up to second place and with the potential of stealing the victory from Mackey. Ivan Georgiev finally looks unbeatable and had to settle for third after it became impossible to hold Acosta for much longer. Montero just didn't have the pace this race and finished in 4th taking the fastest lap with a few laps to go as a strategic move to gain one more point.
We now go into the summer break with Georgiev in a commanding lead of the Drivers Championship 30 points ahead of teammate Cory Mackey who just leapfrogged defending champion Ezequiel Montero in 3rd. In the Teams Championship, Ferrari is miles ahead of nearest rivals Mercedes by a whopping 123 points. Williams sits comfortably in third 41 points clear of SRHF1.

Cory Mackey secured his second victory of the year in front of Mercedes' home crowd ahead of his teammate for a Ferrari 1-2.
The Ferrari duo looked strong since Qualifying but Montero was also in the mix. The Argentinian driver led for 11 laps but on lap 49 his brakes gave up and was forced to retired. The Ferrari guys inherited the lead and during the last few laps we saw Ivan Georgiev having brake problems as well, this cost him the victory when he went off track at turn 13 handing out the race lead to his teammate.
With these results, Goergiev extended his lead in the Drivers Championship by 29 points over Montero. Meanwhile, in the Teams Championship, Ferrari secured 43 points against zero from the Germans. Ferrari now leads the championship by 96 points over Mercedes.
